As the year comes to a close Im taking a moment to reflect on the year and how the numbers panned out.
I am continually amazed at how a successful year is a function of doing the things that matter day in and day out or as I have said time and time again “Blocking and Tackling”. Business brokerage is not about the big deal casue they are few and far between..it is about servicing the smaller deal: Pizza Parlor, The Cell Phone Store, the Lawn business. These are the deals that dictate survival and keep a balance sheet healthy in our sector…..not the whale…the whale relies on banks, landlords, lawyers and accountants…all necessary but all moving parts that can kill a deal for a broker and the seller & buyer. I am going to further focus on smaller deals this year…the big ones are fun but they sure are nuts……
